Africa is the second largest continent with about 1.4 billion people, contributing to close to 17% of the world’s population.

There are believed to be around 3,000 different African tribes and all of them have distinct own cultures, traditions and customs

There are more than 2,000 distinct languages in the African continent.

All of Africa was colonized by foreign powers during the “scramble for Africa”, except Ethiopia and Liberia.
